Exchanging sterling or euros in Kalkan - which is better?
« on: September 10, 2010, 09:56:51 AM »
Hi All,

Off to Kalkan in a month and have a lot of Euros at home.  Would I get as good a rate exchanging them in Kalkan for Lira or would I be better off taking sterling to exchange?

Cheers all!

Hi,
Bring your Euros and change them in the shops. No commission!
Wouldn't make sense to convert to sterling and change then for Lira.
Enjoy your trip!

Don't forget that the Duty free at Dalaman prices everything in Euro's. I spent some euro's I had left over from a previous holiday in Greece there and had forgotten I had. Because of the difference in exchange rates from when I got the euro's a few years ago and now, I did very well. :)
