So far this holiday I would have to say Coast@Gironda. Went last night and it was an excellent experience.

Look left-sea(with moonlight reflecting on it)

Look right-mountains

My favorite is from the Mederteran hotel perfect dead centre view over Kalkan bay and great food.

My favourite for food and ambience is Coast@Gironda, but for the views (and also very nice food) it has to be Sofra (frontline tables have a stunning aspect). If you're looking for somewhere away from the centre of Kalkan, then the views to die for are at Villa Mahal in Kisla....once voted the hotel with the most romantic view in Europe by Conde Naste magazine...and where I'm going to live when I win the lottery

You asked "which is your favourite" I'm afraid it's impossible to pick just one!

For me it has to be Sofra for fab views, great food and ambience. Also Aubergine, Trio and Korsan Meze; less of a view but great harbourside atmosphere. No great view but good food and atmosphere; Chillies, Oz Adana, Extinct and Mussaka.

Hi,
Yali Beach Club, as somewhere different,
Down at the water's edge and great view. Food's good and not at all expensive. Mustapha is a great host.

Probably the best view would be from Sofra but without any doubt, in my humble opinion, the best food is at Kaptan.

Table One at Adams for the view out to sea towards Kas.

Table Thirty One at Mussakka for choice of food, ambience & quality service.

So difficult to choose between them! For lunch, you can't beat the views of the sea/beach/harbour from Kaptan, Korsan Kebap and Akin.

For dinner: add to the above: Kalamaki, Sofra.

But for food (not so much the views), also add Zeytinlik (for "real" Turkish food), Chapter One and Korsan Mezze.

Table 11 Coast@Gironda for us...better get that table booked soon now I think about it! Akins also has a great view - good food at a good price too! For sitting and people watching with a post dinner drink or two, it's hard to beat Lush.

thank you every one...im clued up now and word of mouth has to be the best form of reccommendation around.

Monday is now F A S S S T approaching and im going to stop asking and start packing...
Currently 16 and raining here compared to 35 and 'mostly' sunny in kalkan...
do they really mean that...is it at all cloudy over there?

you'll see the sun is shining right now ... though there's a bit of a mist over the sea ...

You are going to have the best time- if you have the technology, time and inclination, let us know how you are doing, and add your experiences, views and ideas into the mix...

yo! the coast@ gironda website is a daily must see as the sun sets and the lights go on and as those lovely waiters move around feeding all those lucky lucky people

Kalamaki!

Kalamaki rocks - Perfect Rooftop Terrace. Perfect Staff. Perfect Food. All these equal a Perfect atmosphere. Have been there many many times and I sill love it
