Balik Ekmek anyone?
« on: July 19, 2010, 04:20:32 PM »
Hellloo again...

My daughter asked me if we could get her favourite Balik Ekmek in kalkan - I said I would find out?  Are there any boats that sell them - or cafes?

Cheers

Yes - its fresh fish - in bread - usually served with salad, onions and chillis - but as far away from a "fishfinger sandwich" as can be....  Please!  :-X

They are brilliant, just fish fillets straight off a chargrill barbecue inside a fresh bread roll. Sold for a couple of Lira at the ferry quaysides in Istanbul.

Sadly, I have never seen them in or around Kalkan.
