Dog with large tick on eyelid

Hi,

I wasn't quite sure where to put this message. I am a little bit concerned about a very small and friendly dog in Kalamar Bay that has a very large tick on her eyelid. She spends all day every day on the rough track which serves as a cut through to the back of Cafe Vita. She lives in a car port / garage just up from 'Mavi Yildiz' with a tethered dog. She is small, black and brown with a medium length coat and very friendly. She does not have an ear tag but has a collar. I have not seen anyone feed her.

The tick is on her upper eyelid and has grown very large in the last few days. It seems to be the cause of irritation. I would be tempted to move it myself if it was elsewhere on her body, as I do with my dog at home in the UK. However it is in a very sensitive spot and I don't want to run the risk of removing the body and leaving the head buried in her eyelid. I know this will cause a much nastier infection.

Can anyone from Kapsa assess her. She really is a lovely little dog, as it the one she shares the garage with. It upsets me to see that she is irritated with it.

Also, has anyone seen Angela recently?

I wıll go and try and fınd the dog tomorrow.I have just returned from the uk and whılst I was there I vısıted a local RSPCA centre and obtaıned 2 tıc removers.
There ıs good news about Angela,she ıs progressıng very well and we contınue to gıve her medıcatıon daıly and monıtor her ımprovement.

I saw Angela today playing with Melek the puppy at cafe Leon she looks so much better and seems a lot happier as well.So good to see her playing.

Thank you very much Amber. She is a very lovely dog, as is the one she shares the garage with. There are a couple of tunnels (part of the unfinished building) leading off from the garage and if she's not outside or in the garage she will be in the tunnels. The dog in the garage which is tethered only seems to get fed scraps. He is very friendly but instantly thinks you are going to let him off the lead or feed him if you put the hand near the floor and can get a bit excitable (mouthing your hand)- just so you know. The little dog with the tick would just lick you to death!

That's really good to hear that Angela is getting better. I was a bit worried when I hadn't seen her at her usual spot outside the jewellers. I've got more than a bit of a soft spot for her.

Dıdnt get your message untıl I had gone to look for dog but dıdnt see her so glad to hear the tıc has gone.
Can I remınd everyone that we have new KAPSA ınformatıon leaflets and ıf anyone would lıke some to put ın theır vılla or apartment they can be collected from Vessıla and Brako ın the town

I picked up a leaflet from the Lizo hotel whilst we stayed there last week and shall set up a standing order for Kapsa, after seeing all the street animals i can now appreciate what a tough job Kapsa do.
